An immersive trip that covers all aspects of plant science; Athletics, Animal Feed, Brewing, Chemical Treatments, Education and Retail/Marketing.
DAILY SCHEDULE
Flights land around 11:00AM local time. Bags are transferred to lodging, while students explore Edinburgh. Welcome dinner that evening.
Students will head north to visit a sheep farm and learn about the process of going from raw wool to refined thread. Also an opportunity to discuss other animal breeding and food/meat policies.
Students will walk the grounds of the most historic golf course in the world by St. Andrews groundskeepers.
From Edinburgh’s famous castle to shops lining the streets, students will be able to learn about Edinburgh’s history on their final day in the city.
After a late morning transfer to London, Hop-On, Hop-Off tour tickets are given to allow for full exploration of the city.
A behind the scenes tour of one of the Premier League’s newest stadiums. Talks about playing conditions for soccer, rugby and other events.
Full deep-dive into plant sciences. From improving crop quality of wheats and oilseeds, to modifying plant’s metabolic and vitamin levels.
Students will transfer to Basel, Switzerland to visit with former MSU students at Syngenta, a leading agriculture company.
Bus tour around Lake Constance in Germany to visit one of Bavaria’s most prize hop varieties. Discussion on history, production and brewing.
Students transfer to Amsterdam for a free day, ending with a dinner cruise through the canals.
Meetings with the University of Amsterdam’s Biological Science group to learn about the research being put into their world famous tulips. Afternoon bike ride amongst the tulip fields.
Students will have the opportunity to explore Amsterdam in their own way. Options available; Heineken Tour, Van Gogh Museum and Anne Frank House.
